Clarence "Pitsy" Pitsenbarger and Fr. Brinker filmed the original version of this 1939 Downtown Versailles Business Tour and preserved history.
Versailles Day at Stillwater Beach was also filmed in 1939.
In 1976 Gail Brandewie, daughter of Clarence and Esther Pitsenbarger, filmed the Versailles Development Association, the Versailles Rotary Club and the Bi-Centennial Poultry Days. In 1986 she filmed an update of the Rotary Club.
Gail converted the 35 millimeter film from 1939 to DVD. She added narration and included the 1976 and 1986 film. It is all included in this DVD.
In 2012, Gail graciously gifted the original film and DVD to the Versailles Area Historical Society.
The Versailles Area Historical Society has duplicated the DVD. It features a new jacket cover with a photo of Downtown Versailles today. Copies are on sale at the Museum.
